The topic of the talk is centered around two things:
Computational engineering applications approached with (ML-accelerated) physics driven workflows
Hyperganic's freshly launched web-natve design product HyDesign: https://design.hyperganic.com/
HyDesign is Hyperganics web-native design tool for 3d-printing. HyDesign is developed to be the most user friendly and accessible Lattice and TPMS design tool in the Generative Design Market.

My second appearance on Jousefs channel dives deeper into the work me and my team do at Hyperganic, including some live demos of some of the software tools produced:
HyDesign (on the example of a bike saddle): HyDesign is a web-native Lattice and TPMS Design tool with integrated quasi-mesh-less immersed boundary simulation for structures.
HyLight (physics driven structural optimisation): HyLight is a feature demonstrator for integrated structural optimisation of latticed components. Similar workflows find application in various light-weighting tasks for example in the field of injection mold light-weighting
Through the Innovation Competition, the City of Munich annually calls for the submission of innovative solution proposals for specific urban challenges. The goal is to develop new smart city approaches through a co-creation process, which should then prove themselves in the urban testing environment.

Jonas Watzlowik and I developed the prototype of "SkyEye" a scalable, opensource plug-in for GIS systems to analyse stationary traffic data in Munich.
With the challenge "Improving Data on Stationary Traffic," the Mobility Department sought innovative ideas to collect and analyze data about parked vehicles more easily and quickly. Team Sky Eye was selected as the winner by the jury. Sky Eye offers an AI-based plugin that can detect and categorize vehicles in both public and private spaces. This is achieved by analyzing publicly accessible geodata and displaying parking space occupancy with high precision. Based on this, detailed analyses can be conducted for city districts or the entire city center. The jury was particularly impressed that Team Sky Eye offers their solutions as open and transparent open source software.

My talk was focussed around the topic of AI powered engineering. Artificial Intelligence or better Machine Learning is a great tool to enhance engineering workflows, particularly in the scenario of early design iterations or parametric optimisations. Referencing Blake Courters and Kirsten M. Edwards work, I give an overview of where AI finds application today, what it is not good at and what Hyperganic is using
Machine Learning for.

My first appearance on Jousefs channel revolves around explaining the work me and my team do at Hyperganic: Essentially building vertical (end-application specific software/ computational design applications) that are leveraging Hyperganics Core technology on a computer code level. This allows the ultimate freedom in designing, simulating and optimizing parts by design parameters. I dive deeper into the technology as well explaining mesh-less immersed boundary simulation and voxel based design kernels.
